"If she is of interest to you, I can tell you that she was easily one of the best that we've ever had – particularly when it came to coordinating and staffing events."

EVENTS EXPERIENCE

During my internship at Star Group in Philadelphia in summer 2013, I witnessed the Paine's Skatepark ribbon cutting ceremony event unfold in front of my eyes. While one of the first days on the job, I was immediately roped into the hands-on and exciting life that is special events management.

That following summer, I was determined to find an internship where I could not only enhance my public relations skills, but also focus attention on gaining more special events experience. While interning at Cashman & Associates in Philadelphia from May through August 2014, I lent my hand at many prestigious Philadelphia events, including: Icon 1616 Walnut Grand Opening, Philadelphia Style Magazine's Best of Style Party, Ball on the Square by the Friends of Rittenhouse Square, Wawa Welcome America Concert, and Century 21's Black Friday Activation Event.

Following Graduation, I returned to Cashman & Associates as a Special Events & Marketing Coordinator. With this more professional title, I was able to not only attend 10 events over a two month period, but also assisted with day-of event preparation and execution. While attending events ranging from black-tie galas to promotional pop-ups, I curated and posted social media content using the proper hashtags and handles. Clients include but are not limited to: Do Atlantic City, Century 21 Department Store, Market & Shops at Comcast Center and Shake Shack.

Additionally, I brainstormed and collaborated on event concepts complete with budget estimations, which were then placed onto a presentation deck and pitched to clients for review. In correlation to these experiences, I am knowledgeable of the Zkipster Guest List software and pitching post-event publicity with photo captions.

In my personal life, I seek to please others through special events as well, and have done so through connections with non-profit organizations. I hosted an Alpha Phi Foundation philanthropy event, as well as a THON viewing event while overseas in Italy. Thanks to the various events I have both assisted and planned, I feel extremely qualified for a future career in this industry.
